The Hoffmann Family of Companies (HF Companies) has acquired Wayne Manufacturing of Fort Wayne, Indiana, the go-to supplier in complex steel components serving the nation’s top vehicle platforms including the EV market.
Founded in 1963, Wayne Manufacturing produces 130+ products for the auto-industry utilizing the latest technologies in 3D tool design, simulation, tool build, weld monitoring, automation, and quality standards. Wayne’s customers include Dana, American Axle, Bilstein, and Toyota Industrial Equipment as well as some of the highest volume vehicles produced such as the Ford F-Series, Ford Ranger, Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator, Ram Heavy Duty, GM Heavy Duty, and Nissan Frontier. With the acquisition of Wayne Manufacturing, HF Companies continues to diversify and invest in heartland manufacturing.

HF Companies is expanding rapidly within the manufacturing and industrial space. Last week the company acquired a 75,000 square-foot facility in Southern Missouri, adding to their already 2,000,000 square feet of industrial real estate and have signed LOIs to purchase an additional 1,000,000 square feet in the next 90 days. HF Companies’ industrial portfolio includes Archer Wire International Corp. which manufactures metal wire components for Wolf Appliances, Weber Grills, as well as the facemasks of all professional football helmets, Admiral Sign, Ferche Millwork, Texas Bragg Trailers, NOA Medical Industries, Sunmaster Awnings, Tier Electric & EV, and Ziglin Signs company.
The transaction also includes Wayne’s 125,000 sf manufacturing facility located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Existing staff and management will continue with Wayne Manufacturing through the ownership transition. Additional areas of expansion include into the non-automotive industry with strong relationships in the consumer goods and packaging industry.
