The Hoffmann Family of Companies has announced Iain Mossman as President of the Hoffmann National Golf Division. This comes after the acquisition of Old Collier Golf Club in Naples, FL, the recent announcement of the building of a 12-hole championship golf course in Augusta, Missouri and acquisition of Old Corkscrew Golf Course in Estero, FL.
Beginning his career at the age of 18 in Scotland, Iain is a former recipient of the South Florida PGA Professional of the Year Award, previously managed Piping Rock Golf Club of New York for 11 years, opened and managed three courses for Westinghouse
Communities Inc. across the United States (Pelican’s Nest in Bonita Springs, FL, Gateway Golf Course in Fort Myers and Bighorn Golf Club in Palm Desert, California) and served as General Manager for Old Collier Golf Club from 2007 – early 2021 before embarking on the construction and management of the Aurora International Golf Club in the Caribbean for 9 months.
“I’m honored to be joining the Hoffmann Family of Companies and excited about their vision for the Golf Division. The Hoffmann golf courses and clubs are outstanding and best in their class.” Iain Mossman says. Iain will focus on development, operations, staffing, food & beverage and membership programs.
The Hoffmanns now own some of the best golf courses in the world, having been designed by top golf architects. Tom Fazio designed Old Collier Golf Club which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The Augusta Missouri 12-hole championship golf course is being designed by Rees Jones, credited with designing Tory pines in California where the US Open was just held and his father, Robert Trent Jones, designed Augusta National Golf Club, and Old Corkscrew Golf Course designed by Jack Nicklaus, famous golf course architect.
“I’ve known Iain for many years. He’s well respected by the members and community and will do a phenomenal job in the national position overseeing our golf courses.” David Hoffmann, Founder Hoffmann Family of Companies.
