The Hoffmann Family of Companies is set to acquire the “Volunteer Princess” out of Knoxville, TN along with their operation as well as operation and dock of the already owned Minneapolis Queen to their growing portfolio of nationwide businesses and 8 vessels.
The Volunteer Princess is the only modern and luxurious dining cruise vessel on the upper Tennessee River, located in Knoxville, TN. Named after the University of Tennessee Volunteers, the Volunteer Princess is one of Knoxville’s prime destinations offering unique public cruises and private events. A 132 – Passenger, 96’ Skipperliner Yacht built specifically for experiencing all the Knoxville skyline has to offer. Featuring two climate-controlled decks, in house catering and beverage service, all-inclusive packages for weddings, private events and corporate groups as well as daily public cruises.
Additionally, the Hoffmann Family of Companies will be purchasing the operation and dock of a ship in their portfolio, the Minneapolis Queen. The 125 passenger Minneapolis Queen offers daily public cruise tours and private charters on the Mississippi River through historic downtown Minneapolis. Conveniently located at Bohemian Flats, just south of the historic Minneapolis Riverfront District and Downtown Minneapolis. The uniqueness and history of the paddle-wheeler is the perfect way to experience the beautiful downtown with one of their narrated sightseeing tours. This modern day replica of the grand riverboats that used to ply the waterways will take you along the southern trails of the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway and Heritage Trail, near the University of Minnesota Campus riverfront and under the stunning 35W Bridge. Views of St. Anthony Falls, Stone Arch Bridge and the legendary river bluffs with the Minneapolis skyline serve as the backdrop making it a perfect venue for private events such as corporate meetings, weddings and private parties.
