Geoff Hoffmann serves as CEO of the private equity arm of Hoffmann Family of Companies, where he leads identifying, evaluating, and structuring new investments. He also oversees the performance and strategic growth of the family office’s portfolio, working closely with leadership teams to drive innovation and expansion across diverse industries.
In addition to his role at HF Companies, Geoff is Chairman of DHR Global, one of the world’s leading executive search and leadership consulting firms. During his tenure as CEO from 2012 to 2025, DHR achieved record-setting growth and earned numerous accolades, including multiple placements on the Inc.’s Best Places to Work list (2022–2025), inclusion on Forbes’ America’s Best Executive Recruiting Firms list (2017–2025), and a spot on Newsweek’s Excellence 1000 Index.
Geoff also serves on the boards of several portfolio companies, as well as Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF Illinois) and YPO Chicago’s chapter. In 2022, he and his wife, Megan, founded Type 1 Timer Hockey (T1T), North America’s only nonprofit hockey camp dedicated to supporting type 1 diabetic players. In addition to her role at T1T, Megan serves on the boards of the Joffrey Ballet and the University of Chicago Kovler Diabetes Center. She is also actively involved in a variety of organizations nationwide, including those connected to their children’s schools.
A recognized thought leader, Geoff’s insights have been featured in leading business publications. He was recently honored on Crain’s Chicago 2025 lists of “Who’s Who in Chicago Business” and “Notable Leaders in M&A.”
Geoff holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Miami University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is also a member of the Economic Club of Chicago. Geoff resides in the Chicagoland area with his wife and children.
