From Adversity to Generosity: The Hoffmann Family’s Philanthropic Journey

Growing up in adversity can propel an individual to extraordinary heights. For David and Jerri Hoffmann, this journey includes the opportunity to give back to communities like the one that supported their own youthful dreams. Just as a college football scholarship was a crucial stepping-stone on his personal career path, David believes in supporting deserving young people and communities to realize their full potential.

David and Jerri began their own mission of philanthropy and taught their sons, Geoff and Greg, the importance and value of giving back. The family’s commitment to giving reflects the belief that everyone deserves a chance to flourish.

Through the Hoffmann Family Foundation, the Hoffmanns personally support philanthropic efforts extending to healthcare, youth development, and the arts. They financially support and sit on the board of prominent charitable organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club of Naples (Florida), Children’s Home + Aid, JDRF (a childhood diabetes research institute), Northwestern Hospital Foundation, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Everglades Foundation, Joffrey Ballet, Naples Zoo and Steppenwolf Theatre Company.

The Hoffmanns’ philosophy of nurturing young leaders resonates throughout the Family of Companies of more than 200 brands and 9,000 employees, delivering exponential impact through resources and financial support. We are proud to share a few of the philanthropic impact stories from across the Hoffmann Family of Companies.
