Hoffmanns To Purchase 5th on 5th Building From McCabes

August 7, 2023

Hoffmann Commercial Real Estate, a part of the Hoffmann Family of Companies, has signed a definitive letter of intent to acquire 465 5th Ave South from the McCabe family, a prominent building on the corner of 5th Ave South and 5th Street.

Over 25 years ago, Phil McCabe envisioned a vibrant 5th Ave, full of shopping, dining, and entertainment, and took a risk opening the Avenue’s first hotel, The Inn on Fifth. For over two decades, the McCabe family has advanced the vision of Naples and 5th Ave South, with multiple properties, restaurants, and residences. The 465 5th Ave South building stands as an icon with high-end retail space on the Avenue, a hidden wine bar, and luxury residences above, including a rooftop deck and pool. The aesthetics and quality of the building represent McCabe’s attention to detail and dedication to furthering the vision of 5th Avenue South.

“We’re honored to be purchasing the building from the McCabes” says David Hoffmann, Chairman and Founder of the Hoffmann Family of Companies. “They took a risk investing in the area and that risk has paid off. We’re happy to be part of their continued success,” he added.

Hoffmann Commercial Real Estate is one of over 120 brands within the Hoffmann Family of Companies holdings with 47 of those located in Florida and SWFL. These include Hertz Arena and the Florida Everblades, The Old Collier Golf Club, and Old Corkscrew Golf Club, Stan’s Coffee and Food Service headquartered in Lehigh Acres, Naples Transportation & Tours, The Naples Princess, Miss Naples and Port O Call Marina, Sunmaster Inc, and Linstol, the world’s largest airline headset manufacturing headquartered in Naples to name a few. The Hoffmanns are also avid supporters of local charities and causes, having recently donated $500,000 to the Sugden Theater and $1 million to the Naples Zoo (both of which will feature the Hoffmann name), $250,000 to FGCU to further their wine lab and hospitality studies, and are supporters of the Conservancy of Southwest Florida, gala sponsors of The Everglades Foundation, and major supporters of NCEF.

Most recently, the Hoffmanns announced they are acquiring the Award-winning Bleu Provence restaurant and property in Olde Naples.

“We will continue to invest in Naples and grow our portfolio of properties and businesses in Southwest Florida. We’re here for the long haul, Naples is our home.” – David Hoffmann
