From Adversity to Generosity: The Hoffmann Family’s Philanthropic Journey

Overcoming adversity often propels individuals to extraordinary heights. For David and Jerri Hoffmann, this journey has presented opportunities to give back to the communities that once supported their own dreams. Just as a college football scholarship was a pivotal step in his career, David believes in supporting deserving young people and communities to help them achieve their full potential.

David and Jerri embarked on their philanthropic mission early on, instilling in their children the importance and value of giving back. The family’s commitment to philanthropy reflects their belief that everyone deserves a chance to flourish.

The Hoffmann Family supports philanthropic efforts spanning healthcare, youth development, and the arts. They financially support and serve on the boards of prominent nonprofits such as the Boys & Girls Club of Collier County, Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF), Brightpoint Chicago (formerly Children’s Home & Aid), the Everglades Foundation, the Field Museum (Chicago), the Horatio Alger Association, Joffrey Ballet (Chicago), the Naples Children & Education Foundation, Naples Players Community Theatre, the Naples Zoo, Type 1 Timer (T1T) Hockey, the University of Chicago Kovler Diabetes Center, and the Washington County 4-H Club (Missouri).

The Hoffmanns’ philosophy of nurturing young leaders resonates throughout the Family of Companies’ more than 200 brands and 16,000+ employees, delivering exponential impact through their resources and financial support.
